Dr. Dirk Andres

Dr. Dirk Andres is a specialist in insolvency law and a partner in the law firm AndresPartner. He is appointed insolvency administrator by the insolvency courts in Düsseldorf, Essen, Bochum, Hagen and Siegen as well as Cologne and Wuppertal. In addition, he assists companies, managing directors, shareholders as well as creditors in all matters of financial and performance restructuring. Andres is a board member of the Düsseldorfer Vereinigung für Insolvenz- und Sanierungsrecht e. V. (Düsseldorf Association for Insolvency and Restructuring Law), regularly publishes on insolvency law topics and is co-editor of a commentary on the Insolvency Code published by C. H. Beck. He is also a member of the advisory board of the Institute for Insolvency and Restructuring Law at Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. He is a member of the Gravenbrucher Kreis, the association of Germany's leading insolvency administrators and restructuring experts, as well as Forum 270 - Qualität und Verantwortung in der Eigenverwaltung e. V. The renowned JUVE publishing house has ranked him among the leading names in insolvency administration in its handbooks since 2017/2018. In 2018 and 2019, WirtschaftsWoche included him in its list of Germany's most renowned insolvency lawyers. The specialist publisher Best Lawyers lists him in its ranking of Germany's Best Lawyers 2020 for the area of restructuring and insolvency law.

Dr. Dirk Andres was admitted to the bar in 2000 and has worked for the firm ever since. Andres completed his legal education at the University of Cologne. His dissertation is entitled "The Integration of Modern Technologies in Business". From 1990 to 2000, he was co-partner and managing director of an IT company in Düsseldorf.
